As a Power BI Developer, you can learn and contribute to various aspects of data visualization, business intelligence, and data management. With guidance from our existing data analyst, you will become the primary Power BI developer within a Business Intelligence and Data analyst team. You will develop a broad set of technical skills applicable across multiple platforms to create data-driven visualization assets.
Responsibilities:
Data Visualization: Create and maintain interactive and insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI and other BI tools as needed.
Data Integration: Understand various data sources to integrate and prepare data for analysis and reporting.
Technical Learning: Engage in continuous learning to develop technical skills across various tools and platforms, including Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and other data-related technologies.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and senior developers, to understand business needs and develop appropriate solutions.
Troubleshooting: Participate in identifying and resolving technical issues related to data retrieval, report performance, and user access.
Documentation: Document the learning process and the development of reports and data models for future reference.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
A minimum of 2 years experience (including internships or projects) with data analysis, business intelligence tools, or software development is required.
Basic knowledge of programming languages such as T-SQL, Python, or DAX.
Basic understanding of data visualization concepts such as graph types.
Excellent communication (written and oral) and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric for data analytics and proficiency in SQL Server is preferred.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure and Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus.
Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to apply technical solutions to business problems.
