American Building Company, a proud division of Nucor Buildings Group, is seeking a Sales Representative to join our team, where you'll play a crucial role in serving the needs of our builders and driving sales growth. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Drive Profitable Projects: Your main responsibility will be successfully assisting our outside sales team in selling projects that not only meet but exceed profitability targets for our division.
• Project Management: From generating project takeoffs to creating eQuote (our proprietary quoting software) scopes of work, you'll be the go-to person for starting the transformation from a 2D drawing to an actualized building out in the field.
• Builder Engagement: Build strong relationships with builders by assisting in new business development, participating in project meetings, and conducting scope reviews during the sales process.
• Sales Strategy: Gather market information to assist in developing and executing sales and pricing strategies while setting clear expectations with our builders to foster mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Customer Training: Train customers in the use of metal building estimating software.
• Territory Coverage: Cover the role of a DSM (District Sales Manager) in territories where an active DSM is unavailable, ensuring seamless coverage and continuity.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in Construction or a related field
• Technical Aptitude: Ability to interpret Architectural and Structural Drawings
• Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel to builders' offices and job sites, sometimes at short notice
• Valid Driver's License: Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and proof of insurance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Engineering-related fields is preferred but not required for this role.
