Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of accounts payable processes who thrives in a fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Process and manage a high volume of accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices

  • Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and contracts for accuracy and compliance

  • Prepare weekly check runs, ACH transfers, and credit card payments

  • Reconcile accounts payable statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors and suppliers

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable

  • Maintain accurate vendor records and communication regarding payment inquiries

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

  • Provide support during audits and assist with the preparation of audit schedules


Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and general ledger

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies effectively

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
