An established and highly regarded law firm in San Diego is seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal. This role offers a competitive salary based on experience. The role has a hybrid schedule or fully remote option for candidates residing in Southern California. TRADEMARK experience is required.
Job Responsibilities:
Support attorneys with all aspects of trademark registration, maintenance, renewals, and administrative proceedings within the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and international trademark offices.
Gather client information related to trademark matters; conduct trademark clearance searches; review office actions and summarize issues for attorneys; analyze and communicate official correspondence to attorneys and clients; prepare and file trademark-related documents, including assignments and power of attorney forms; ensure compliance with official deadlines; liaise with international colleagues regarding trademark matters; report deadlines to docket clerks and provide necessary instructions; and manage other paralegal responsibilities for client trademark portfolios.
Assist with intellectual property enforcement, including preparing and filing pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and similar documents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate.
At least four to five years of IP Paralegal experience, with a strong focus on trademark matters.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
Preferred but not required: experience in patent and copyright matters.
Familiarity with USPTO rules and electronic filing systems.
Independent worker with the initiative to complete projects efficiently.
Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000
