Key Responsibilities:





Accounting Oversight & Reporting:



  • Oversee daily accounting activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

  • Ensure accurate month-end financial reporting, preparing and reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements.


Project & Expense Management:



  • Monitor and control project expenses to ensure profitability.

  • Utilize QuickBooks and a custom ERP system to manage job costing, ensuring efficient tracking of project financials.


Accounts Management:



  • Manage daily accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) processes to maintain smooth cash flow.

  • Review A/R and A/P aging reports to effectively manage outstanding balances and optimize cash flow.


Payroll & Employee Benefits:



  • Process payroll accurately and ensure timely disbursement.

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401K plans, and Flexible Spending Accounts.


Financial Planning & Forecasting:



  • Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

  • Reconcile bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded and balanced correctly.


Internal Controls & Process Improvement:



  • Design and implement internal job cost controls to support company growth and improve financial accuracy.

  • Monitor and control credit card expenses to maintain cost discipline.



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally with exposure to job costing and financial reporting.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks experience preferred).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and departments.
