Applies ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the radiation oncologist. Uses knowledge and education to provide excellent patient care and exercises professional judgment in treatment delivery. Treats cancer and other diseases in patients by administering radiation treatments as prescribed by physician. This position also provides assistance to Chief Therapist, and acts as a mentor and guide for junior staff.


Requirements:


LUS Graduate of JCERT Radiation Therapy Program. 5 years or more of Radiation Therapy. Knowledge of ionizing radiation and its application to humans. Knowledge of radiation safty, Excellent communication skills, Ability to multi-task, Physical stamina, Computer skills, Attention to detail, Ability to run CT simulator. Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Basic Life Support (BLS).
