Job Description:

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Housing and Workforce Solution - Community Action Partnership Department is seeking an Intern whose duties will comprise of supporting executive-level staff by utilizing various programs which include, but are not limited to: Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Project, Publisher, Power-Point, and One-Note.

The intern will act as a proactive and reliable partner to the management team, enabling the executive to focus on strategic priorities and optimize productivity.

The in-person student internship position is based in Riverside County and offers a flexible work week consisting of approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility granted around academic obligations. The selected candidate can anticipate the internship to span six months to one year in length.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Under supervision, assists and participates in the work performed by employees of a specific profession; Through participation, receive supervised work experience in a specific professional vocation, and performs other related duties as required.

The intern will be responsible for, but not limited to:


  • Managing the executives schedule

  • Prioritizing tasks

  • Manage action items

  • Generate visuals

  • Deliver seamless administrative support

  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Foster high-quality communication with internal customers



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average : 2.5GPArequired. Proof of most current unofficial/official transcript with cumulative GPA must be provided at time of application .

Education: Applicants must be currently enrolled/attending school at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor's or Master's degree or Certificate program, or graduated within the last 12 months.

Areas of Study :Accounting, Finance, or similar, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Engineering,Public or Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Studies or similar.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Ability to create visual diagrams in Visio

  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Planner

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs


Additional Desired Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bilingual is preferred but not required

  • Openness to learning new software
