The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a dedicated Postdoctoral Associate to join the laboratory of Pam Moalli, MD Executive Director at Magee-Womens Research Institute. Magee-Womens Research Institute (MWRI) is an independent research Institute and one of the largest in the nation that focuses on reproductive biology, and women's and infant's health. Since its inception in 1992, MWRI has been a leader in funding from the National Institute of Health (NIH) and other sources.
This position offers an opportunity to engage in innovative research and collaborate with a diverse team of scholars. The postdoc will be working to device a device to repair puboenthesis injury in a rat and primate model. They will also be working on a grant to develop a functionally interactive device for the repair of pelvic organ prolapse. Additional lab responsibilities will include device development (polymer testing, 3D printing, testing of physicochemical properties), animal surgeries, and performing outcome measures – immunofluorescence, FACS, -omics technologies. The postdoc will be expected to be a leader in the lab in charge of teaching and day-to-day organization.
