Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Nephrology in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be board certified/eligible in pediatric nephrology.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring junior faculty, graduate students, medical students, pediatric residents, and pediatric nephrology fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include the treatment of children and adolescents with a wide range of kidney diseases, in both the inpatient, outpatient, satellite campus, and dialysis settings.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include strong interest and track record in clinical, basic science, and/or translational research involving patients with kidney disease, program administration skills, and commitment to direct and grow clinical programs in their specific area of interest. Significant research and clinical resources and space for the research and clinical programs will be provided to the successful candidate.
The Division of Nephrology at the Children's Hospital is at the forefront of clinical care, teaching, and research. The Division is comprised of 16 faculty members and 9 clinical fellows, in addition to our team of nurses, administrators, social workers, dieticians, and research staff. The CHOP Division of Nephrology provides comprehensive care for children, adolescents, and young adult patients with kidney disease.
