Description: As a Compressor Rebuild Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience and develop technical skills in the maintenance and rebuilding of industrial compressors. Working under the guidance of experienced technicians, you will learn to disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble compressor units, ensuring they meet operational standards. Your role will involve detailed work with various tools and machinery, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with the service team to deliver high-quality service to our clients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Gain hands-on experience in the maintenance and rebuilding of industrial compressors
Learn to disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble compressor units
Ensure all compressor units meet operational standards
Work with various tools and machinery
Adhere to safety protocols at all times
Collaborate with the service team to deliver high-quality service to clients
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude
Previous experience in a similar role or in a technical/mechanical field is an asset
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings, trainings, and events.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to use a computer, phone, printer, scanner, and other office equipment.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
Ability to perform repetitive movements
Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas
Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to and exceeding 50 pounds
Adequate vision to perform all required tasks
Work on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops
Comfortable with heights and able to climb and descend safely
Strong sense of balance and spatial awareness
Participate in respiratory fit testing and use as required
