Director FP&A - DC Ops and Logistics

Job Summary

The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis - DC Operations & Logistics, executes the analytics engine for NAPA's distribution and logistics function, collecting, managing, analyzing, and communicating financial information, analyses, and insights on both a GAAP and operational basis for senior distribution and logistics leadership. Providing world class financial leadership and leveraging a team of finance professionals, this role facilitates the growth of NAPA's operating models by improving visibility into the financial performance of logistics strategies. The role is responsible for providing data-driven insights capable of transforming the organization's productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness around distribution and logistics activities.

Responsibilities
  • Supports operations and finance leadership in the design, maintenance, and presentation of budgeting & forecasting processes, collaborating with leadership in all aspects of financial support, project analysis and modeling.
  • Performs data-driven financial analyses such as capital expenditure and operating plan variance analyses to enhance visualizations and reports of financial performance on a monthly cadence for senior distribution & logistics leaders.
  • Leads a team of analysts toward shared success through the application of FP&A/GAAP processes, best practices, and financial leadership.
  • Identifies and communicates actionable insights and reconciles operational variations versus financial plans and/or expectations.
  • Formulates annual operating budgets for DC Operations & Logistics function, ensuring budgets are reflective of well thought out analyses.
  • Develops and maintains quarterly projections based on past results and anticipated financial trends.
  • Defines and forecasts financial models to support the analysis of operating activities.
  • Organizes the presentation of financial information for internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications
  • BS in Finance or Accounting.
  • 10+ years of management experience in finance, financial analysis, and/or financial reporting.
  • Ability to view sales and store operations, actively innovating and communicating the strategic priorities of sales and store operations, particularly in terms of their financial implications.
  • Excellent Microsoft and analytics tools expertise.
  • Experience using report writing and data mining tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with management at all levels.
  • Strong negotiation and partnership skills with the ability to influence and challenge decisions and processes.
  • Forward-thinking in implementing tolls and techniques to improve analytics, driving better business decisions.
  • Self-motivated and able to independently manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Advance degree or relevant experience.
  • CPA.
