About the Job



Candidate will be an integral component of a team responsible for supporting Specialty Pharmacy Partners to help patients start and where appropriate, stay on prescribed therapies. Individual will have a deep understanding of the challenges associated with attaining medications prescribed by Healthcare Providers and will collaborate to develop and deploy initiatives to improve conversion and patient compliance to Sanofi related medication therapies. This person will collaborate with the Specialty Pharmacy Account Team to identify and establish action plans for additional opportunities to improve the patient experience.


The Specialty Pharmacy (SP) Operations Liaison will have an extensive working knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy Operations and the core elements associated with the standard offering of pharmacy practice requirements. This individual will be responsible for developing key metrics that will directly reflect specialty pharmacy performance with respect to conversion, persistency, adherence, time to therapy, and other critical elements that contribute to the overall patient experience for patients. This individual will be responsible for collaborating and developing Enhanced Pharmacy Patient Support Processes that will support patients over and above the core pharmacy offering. This individual will have a continuous quality improvement mindset and be responsible for working closely with the specialty pharmacy operation's team to understand the challenges and develop compliant solutions for patients.


In depth training will be provided to teach the skills that will make a candidate successful in this role.

Main Responsibilities:



  • Effectively communicate with relevant functional areas / personnel and provide account level insights to establish institutional knowledge.


  • Partner with Reimbursement and Market Access teams to attain expected results for payer plan changes/modifications.


  • Collaborate with Sales and Brand Marketing counterparts and provide specific HCP and payer insights.


  • Ensure compliance with all manufacturer corporate policies, applicable laws and industry standards.


  • Provide support and educate on non-promotional processes including services provided by external patient support partners (Copay, Free Drug, Quick Start, PA Support).


  • Create strategic relationships with each assigned Specialty Pharmacy and effectively manage pull through performance.


  • Exceptional working knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy Practice Operations including understanding of the patient and HCP experience.


  • Oversight of Pharmacy Key Metrics to identify trends related to the patient journey and manage the specialty pharmacy to identify actions that can improve the patient experience.


  • Determine/Implement Pharmacy Process Improvement plans to increase the Pharmacy's Key Metric Results.


  • Invoice management for the Enhanced Specialty Pharmacies provided by the specialty pharmacies.


  • Guide analytical stake holders to build/determine pharmacy performance in key metrics and understand what is impacting the key metrics.


  • Support Sanofi's data aggregation partner to ensure pharmacies meet service level expectations for data quality: timeliness; completeness; accuracy; etc.


  • Ability to think strategically and create HCP & Patient solutions identified through data assessment.





About You



  • At least two (2) years of related experience Specialty Pharmacy Operations, Customer Service, Payer Account Management, etc.)


  • Ability to leverage networks and lead change while achieving business goals.


  • Demonstrated ability to challenge status quo, be persistent and resilient.


  • Bachelor's degree


  • Pharmacy Tech Preferred
