Set up and operate machinery, produce, and inspect product. Assist operators to ensure parts meet specifications. This role includes but is not limited to:
Set up and operate CNC machinery.
Assist operators with part inspection and machine adjustments.
Inspect parts visually and dimensionally.
Clean, maintain and calibrate CNC machines.
Work with small parts and hold tight tolerances.
Follow all departmental procedures and meet quality requirements.
Physical Attributes:
Use manual dexterity to manipulate small objects.
Lift up to 25 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of previous experience as a machinist OR 18+ months experience in Straumann’s machinist apprentice program
1+ years of experience reading blueprints and performing precision measuring of parts
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate of a Technical or Trade School’s Machinist program
Experience with Swiss style CNC lathes
Prior Medical Device or Dental experience
Attention to fine detail and high quality
