Overview
Plan and carry-out experiments involving the culture of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), including patient-derived lines, and other cell types.
Perform large-scale genetic screens using CRISPR/Cas9 technology to identify novel therapeutic targets.
Perform molecular genetic and biochemical techniques including PCR, plasmid preparation, DNA, metabolite, and protein isolation from cultured cells.
Analyze -omics datasets, including transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.
Document and organize experimental data, present work in lab meetings, assist in daily operation of the lab.
Contribute to publications, grant writing, and presentation of research at internal and external conferences.
Responsibilities
Bachelors in relevant field AND 1 years of relevant experience OR
Equivalent combination of training and experience.
Basic laboratory skills and knowledge of standard molecular biology techniques.
Sterile tissue culture technique.
Experience collecting, organizing, and communicating data effectively.
Ability to take initiative, work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
Qualifications
Pluripotent stem cell culture.
Background in biochemistry, biophysics, neuroscience or cancer biology.
