Position Summary

This is a REMOTE position, but the selected candidate MUST be located within the Washington D.C. area for occasional onsite visits to our HQ Office in McLean, VA.

NCC is seeking a Business Development Analyst to join our team of talented professionals. This position plays a key role in supporting our Business Development team's day-today operations and will oversee administrative tools to ensure that the business remains focused and aligned on all growth activities. In this position, you will play a critical role in NCC's continued success within the government sector.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Oversee administrative tools and growth activities including, but not limited to: pipeline management, RFP and RFI tools, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Create and regularly update research packets for identified opportunities.
  • Identify and recommend potential pipeline adds for the next 5 years.
  • Monitor public and GWAC sites for pipeline and over-the-fence opportunities.
  • Manage follow-up communications, as necessary, with critical clients to ensure that deal and partnership momentum is maintained.
  • Support in-person and virtual engagements through the development of relevant briefing materials, organization of appropriate stakeholder and engineering support, and execution of any necessary logistical arrangements.
  • Represent NCC at conferences and trade shows as required.
  • Manage and update collateral on a regular basis to ensure potential customers have an accurate understanding of NCC's capabilities and corporate strengths.
  • Conduct analysis of government activity, including budget data, congressional hearings, think tank reports, and legislation to identify relevant opportunities and guide the Growth Team in pursuing high-impact opportunities.
  • Create capacity and increase effectiveness of the Growth Team by ensuring all incoming tasks are assigned to appropriate team member and, with experience, taking ownership of tasks yourself (ex. RFI writing).
  • Maintain the company Business Development (BD) pipeline in coordination with the Business Development (BD) Director.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in federal contracting OR business development.
  • Comfortable setting and achieving goals in an independent, multi-disciplinary, and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to forge trusting relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • APMP or Shipley Training/Certification.
  • Technical or military background.

Special Position Requirements

  • Schedule: NCC Core Business Hours with flexibility to to work outside of those hours for mandatory meetings. Some weekend, holiday, and evening work may be required during active proposals.
  • Travel: Must be able to commute to the HQ Office in Mclean, VA when needed onsite, as well as, to tradeshows or conferences when needed.
