Responsibilities include handling a variety of personnel related administrative tasks while providing support to the HR department and employees regarding Human Resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures.
EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct new hire onboarding office tours and training
Collaborates with other departments, as needed, to ensure new hires receive equipment and login information in a timely manner
Complete Personnel Action Forms (PAF) as needed to address issues such as salary increases, leave of absence (LOA), title changes, terminations, etc. Tracks and processes PAFs for new hire, bonus/relocation payouts related to recruiting efforts
Completes parental leave forms and sends to employees
Maintain personnel files including I-9 compliance
Help execute Verification of Employment requests/documents
Ability to learn HRIS system and complete database updates. Create and update events/tasks in HRIS system
Assist with the organization of department activities such as flu shot clinics and blood drive donations
Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, interviews, and performance reviews
Assist with scheduling exit interviews, send exiting surveys, and complete exiting paperwork
Update MMTV with HR information
Provide general support to the Human Resources team
Update redlines of Employee Handbook
Backup assistant to HR II
Other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES
This position is primarily administrative in nature, working mostly inside of the office completing a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:
Completing repetitive movement on tasks such as using a mouse or keyboard
Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time
Read, communicate, and document in English
Identify color
Determine and exchange accurate information
Occasionally move about outside of the office
Occasionally move or hold objects weighing up to 25 pounds

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak clearly and maintain composure in confrontational situations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BA in human resources, psychology, business, or similar field, or equivalent experience
0-3 years of HR experience
Communicate and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels and across a broad range of functional areas
Experience working in engineering firms, professional service firms, or other firms with technically focused employees
Ability to develop strong, trusting relationships throughout the company
