Semmes Murphey Clinic's mission is to deliver the best care for people suffering from neurological illnesses while advancing the field of neuroscience.


The Physician Liaison serves as the "face of Semmes Murphey Clinic" for our referring community. The primary focus is to build relationships with referring physicians and potential referring physicians, by working with our Marketing Manager and physicians to identify key and potential referrers, develop and implement a contact plan, track progress, and report results.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Help develop and maintain a corporate culture that supports the mission and values of Semmes Murphey Clinic
  • Understand the various services and products offered by each practice, and build rapport with all physicians and support staff
  • Develop a strategic Physician Liaison plan, and budget, that addresses each target audience
  • Make initial, and subsequent visits, with targeted physicians; track/coordinate visits, leave behinds, lunches/breakfast and presentations, as well as scheduling follow-up visits
  • Maintain referral database by researching referral patterns and identifying targets, Generating referring physician reports for Semmes Murphey Clinic overall, as well as for each individual physician and conducting follow-up meetings as appropriate
  • Develop a specific strategy for lower-referring MDs to Marketing Manager and to Semmes Murphey clinic physicians/staff, as appropriate, for corrective action
  • Serve as a community liaison for health system events; this may include coordinating and staffing a booth to represent Semmes Murphey to the referring and healthcare community
Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in healthcare management, business administration, health sciences, marketing or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare, medical sales or related industry

Preferred:

  • Physician practice or healthcare administration experience
  • Experience with electronic medical records and practice administration software
  • Database management and client relationship management (CRM) experience

This individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), have excellent communication skills, possess an energetic and positive demeanor and excels in making social connections. This individual must also have reliable transportation to/from various locations throughout the metro area during the work day.
