We are seeking a skilled and dynamic senior safety professional to help design, develop, and deploy the strategic safety processes that bring that most important organizational virtue to life within our rapidly growing organization.


The  Safety Director is responsible for driving the deployment of safety initiatives. This role ensures we have robust governance systems to ensure compliance with OSHA and state-OSHA regulations, and that our strategic processes are delivering the intended results. The role will lead team-based risk assessments, and provides strategic guidance, coaching, mentoring, and close support to facility safety representatives so that they may successfully grow and mature in their safety systems and culture.


The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and experience in machine safeguarding, life-critical job tasks (e.g., elevated work, suspended loads, electrical work), ergonomics, industrial hygiene, hazardous energy control, and injury case management. There is a strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in applying Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles, and using digital platforms like VelocityEHS and Brady Link360, as enablers of safety strategy.


Here’s What You’ll Get To Do



  • Ensure compliance with relevant OSHA, state-OSHA, or  occupational safety regulations 

  • Lead and facilitate team-based risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.

  • Coach and guide facility operational leaders and safety representatives on the effective implementation of corporate safety strategic initiatives, and provide practical solutions that help them achieve safety excellence.

  • Provide input and expertise on strategic safety processes, tools, and techniques to enhance overall safety performance.

  • Develop and deliver training programs related to machine safeguarding, risk assessment processes, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, hazardous energy control, and injury case management.

  • Collaborate with facility management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

  • Utilize VelocityEHS® to track, manage, and report safety data and performance metrics and Brady Link360® to successfully manage LOTO and alternative protective measures for hazardous energy control.

  • Support the development and application of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles within the corporate safety strategy to improve safety outcomes.

  • Coach facility personnel, and facilitate incident investigations, with the broader goal to build organizational skills in improving incident learning outcomes.

  • Conduct assessments of site safety processes and culture, with coaching and support to identify areas for improvement.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in occupational health and safety.


Here’s What We’re Looking For



  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a technical field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably within manufacturing or industrial settings.

  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA and state-OSHA regulations.

  • Experience leading team-based risk assessments and implementing safety initiatives.

  • Professional competency in machine safeguarding, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, hazardous energy control, and injury case management.

  • Strong coaching and leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide facility safety representatives.

  • Familiarity with VelocityEHS and Brady Link360 digital platforms is a plus.

  • Understanding and experience in the practical application of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles is a plus.

  • Professional certification such as ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) is a plus.
