Develop, support and execute, clinical programs to strategically represent Medline as a leading expert in Vascular Access. Collaborate with health systems to ensure both parties are performing their responsibilities and duties to achieve shared goals and meet contractual commitments.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for auditing and implementing relevant evidence based practice recommendations and action plans to reduce CLABSIs (Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infection) and achieve contractual goals with assigned accounts
Identify and interpret opportunities or gaps in the clinical practice through observation, onsite interviews with healthcare professionals and reviews of patient charts, system policies, electronic medical records and root cause analysis. Analyze supply utilization and optimum product formulary to support practice
Participate in root cause analysis to explore and identify trends, patterns and potential non reportable wounds for further analysis
Work with Health System leadership including c-suite to present findings and make recommendations
Contribute to the development of new products along with the modification and improvements of existing products by providing customer (end user) insight for process enhancement and improvement opportunities
Develop targeted education programs and opportunities working in concert with clinical specialists
Interface with Sales, Marketing, Product Divisions, Medical Affairs, clinical liaisons and other healthcare professionals to understand need and direction. Work with key healthcare facilities to provide clinical leadership
Maintain and develop expertise on vascular access products, with particular emphasis on the product portfolio related to specific clinical specialty area and expertise
Work in conjunction with sales representatives and sales management to properly\ identify, prioritize targets, and achieve corporate, regional, and territory goals and objectives
Provide written and verbal communication to sales management and sales representatives regarding field activity and account information
Participate as a clinical team representative on project teams, committees and in meetings with various corporate departments to provide input as to the clinical perspectives on products and issues
Build and maintain key relationships internally and externally; ensure strong communication and connection with client business partners
Participate in educational, scientific, and promotional activities at identified local, regional, and national tradeshows/exhibitions
Keep current with medical literature, clinical initiatives/guidelines, competitive landscape, and industry trends and communicate with sales management, marketing and other appropriate corporate departments
Maintain professional and clinical continuing education, licensure, and credentials as applicable to clinical specialty
Conduct Quality investigations, waste assessments, clinical review & observations for improved practice and best practice recommendations
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree
RN valid license
At least 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital’s Emergency Room or ICU
Willing to travel up to 50-75% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Ability to build positive customer relationships with leadership while providing clinical consultative feedback
Strong Business Acumen
Experience presenting to and coordinating professional level meetings, including preparation of agendas, presentations and documenting meeting outcomes, etc.
Ability to analyze, synthesize and present data
Experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze data
