What we do:
The Research & Statistics Group (RSG) provides analytic support for the Bank's responsibilities relating to monetary policy, banking supervision, payments systems, and financial market issues. In addition to contributing to the formulation and execution of policy in these areas, our economists conduct independent research on a wide range of topics.
Within RSG, the Group Shared Services (GSS) function provides long-term value and high-quality service for stakeholders by providing computing, product, publishing and information service support, as well as administering risk management programs and implementing change.
As a Business Operations Specialist you will report to the Director of Business Operations and help manage various programs to amplify brand visibility and enhance stakeholder relations. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills and address priorities in a timely manner.
Your role as Business Operations Specialist:
Team Support: collaborative mindset to mentor and support existing analysts, fostering a cohesive and high-performing team dynamic.
Help administer programs managed by the Business Operations Department, focusing on risk management controls and ownership and accountability at the Program level, including implementing budgets and controlling expenditures Key Programs include:
Liberty Street Economics Blog
Visiting Scholar and Seminar Speaker Programs
PhD Economist and Research Assistant (RA) Recruitment
Conferences and Event Management
Act as a Records Management Liaison
Ensure effective program implementation, identify areas for improvement/innovation, and coordinate, resolve and communicate service delivery issues as needed.
Develop and coordinate in-house communications, create and maintain dashboards, and regularly conduct briefings with managers and leaders.
Communicate across business areas or with external parties to influence operational and strategic decisions regarding policies, procedures, and practices
Provide logistical support and coordination for Group Head, including special meetings and topics as needed
What we are looking for:
Experience conducting financial and data analysis with proficiency in Excel and Tableau
Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to conduct research, produce reports, and translate and implement an idea into action
Proficiency in MS 365 Suite (Excel, Word, OneDrive, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams), Event Management, Web Ex, Zoom, etc.
Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and improve work processes and procedures
Experience working across all levels of an organization and in a team environment
Salary Range: $155400 - $211400 / year
