Maintenance Technicians are responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining,

repairing and modifying assigned equipment at our facilities.

Maintaince Technician Core Responsibilities


  • Creates, maintains, communicates and follows preventive maintenance schedules for equipment at assigned facilities.

  • Uses hand tools and power tools to install, set up, troubleshoot, maintain and repair production equipment, material handling equipment and building systems.

  • Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.

  • Performs scheduled maintenance of production equipment.

  • Performs repair and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repair and maintenance of production machines.

  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Reads and interprets blueprints and/or schematics for assigned equipment.

  • Complies with applicable environmental and safety laws, regulations and policies.

  • Determines, specifies and communicates complete instructions for custom fabrication of tooling, as well as equipment modifications.

  • Subject to approval by management, sources tooling, parts, supplies and/or equipment from outside vendors.

  • Job description is not all inclusive and the employee will also perform other reasonable related business duties as assigned. 

Maintaince Technician Job Qualifications


  • Essential Functions:


  • Use hand tools and power tools to install, set up, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment, material handling equipment, and building systems.

  • Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance of production equipment.

  • Conduct repair and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair and maintenance of production machines.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Interpret blueprints and/or schematics for assigned equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental and safety laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Additional Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.

  • Assist in maintenance of facility systems and utilities.

  • Physical Requirements:


  • Lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Work in a standing position for up to 8 hours.

  • Work in a sitting, kneeling, or crouching position continuously for up to 2 hours.

  • Use non-powered tools to tighten or loosen fasteners.

  • Climb, descend, and stand on ladders and stairs.

  • Skill Requirements:


  • Perform basic shop mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

  • Correctly measure and record dimensions of equipment and parts.

  • Completely and correctly sketch custom parts and tools.

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment malfunctions.

  • Use powered and non-powered hand tools.

  • Read and write memos, emails, and correspondence.

  • Enter, edit, read, and interpret maintenance records and preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Hold a valid Class C Driver's License or equivalent.

  • Read technical documentation pertaining to assigned equipment to be maintained and/or repaired.
