What you'll do...
Inspects and cleans food preparation areas, work surfaces, and serving areas according to company policies and procedures by performing cleaning duties (for example, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes) to keep equipment and facilities sanitary; emptying food services areas; and throwing away perishables during shifts. Acquires food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances by estimating future needs; stocking, organizing, and cleaning kitchen and cooking utensils; organizing small bills and change in drawer; and keeping customer area tidy. Performs customer service activities by greeting guests; responding to customer inquiries; communicating with customers regarding food preferences; processing customer payments; providing suggestions and guidance to customers; portioning out food to customer requests; and visually inspecting food for quality and serving size. Prepares food at the food preparation station by following recipes; baking items; chopping vegetables; filling containers of food; preparing items for the next day; handling and operating kitchen equipment (baking equipment, chopping cutlery etc.);reviewing daily specials; rotating supplies and utensils; transporting hot food on carts; grilling and deep frying items. Ensures compliance with company food safety policies and procedures by checking product to verify proper dating; cooking product to proper temperature; completing temperature logs; checking temperature of all food items; cleaning pans and utensils; loading and unloading dishwasher; visually inspecting dishes for cleanliness and chips; and cleaning and sanitizing preparation and work areas. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices. Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00-$28.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
