Digital Realty is looking for an insightful and energetic leader to help accelerate sales and revenue by executing against strategic objectives that enhance customer and equity value. The Inventory Platform Lead will be a key member of the Product Architecture & Enablement leadership team, bringing a strong technology & leadership background with the ability to guide business outcomes and realized in a business lead methodology.


What you'll do


The Inventory Platform Lead will report directly to the Head of Product Architecture and play a pivotal role in aligning inventory platforms with key business processes. This position is critical in capturing, analyzing, and refining business requirements into actionable capabilities within the platform, ensuring it meets the strategic needs of the company.

The ideal candidate for the Inventory Platform Lead position will be an experienced and driven professional with a strong background in product management, data management, and business process alignment. They will possess exceptional analytical and project management skills, with a keen ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions. The candidate should be adept at managing multiple projects concurrently and have a proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and a pragmatic problem solver, capable of driving the inventory automation platform to success through meticulous planning, effective communication, and a deep understanding of business and technical requirements. They will be a pivotal contributor to the Product Architecture team, ensuring the platform's alignment with the company's strategic objectives and delivering exceptional value to the business.


  • Platform Alignment: Ensure the end-to-end alignment of the inventory platform with the key business processes it supports. Collaborate with business process owners to understand, capture, analyze, and refine business requirements into actionable capabilities within the platform.

  • Roadmap Management: Create, manage, and own the platform roadmap on behalf of various business process owners. Develop and maintain the Carma platform roadmap, aligning it with business goals and strategic initiatives. Prioritize platform features and enhancements based on business impact and strategic value.

  • Metric Tracking: Establish and maintain metrics to monitor platform performance and data accuracy. Track and report key metrics to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and continued confidence in the next-generation inventory process. Provide regular reports to stakeholders on platform performance and key metrics.

  • Data Interface Management: Provide a central inventory data interface to manage, liaise, and be accountable for cross-functional data impacts within the process and platform. Work with the Solution Engineering & Development (SE&D) team on site-specific data and cross-functional data teams to ensure data consistency and integrity.

  • Project Management: Organize, plan, and manage multiple features and enhancements concurrently, demonstrating exceptional collaboration, interpersonal, and executive-level communication skills. Identify, negotiate, and track project schedules, dependencies, and milestones; obtain the resources (internal and external) required to meet project objectives.

  • Integration and Experience Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive integration and experience management vision and plan. Ensure seamless data flow between the inventory platform and other systems reporting issues and maintain accountability through resolution.

  • Strategic Planning and Alignment: Lead strategic planning sessions, contributing insights and expertise to shape the future direction the inventory platform capabilities. Align strategy and program practices with Digital Realty's strategic goals and objectives, working closely with senior leadership.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a central point of contact for inventory data management across different teams. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Solutions Engineering & Design, Service Delivery, Operations, Sales, IT, and other stakeholders, to gather insights, content, and support for informed and comprehensive presentations.

  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization with the objective to continually advance our way(s) of working. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product management or a related field, preferably within a data-centric environment or inventory management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading complex projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of business process management and data governance principles.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a product roadmap, aligning platform capabilities with business needs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and strategic approach.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving organizational goals.
The Inventory Platform Lead may also be required to travel to other markets or other locations as required to perform the role and may require approximately 25% travel.
