Position Summary
The Managing Director, Data, Reporting & Analytics Lead will play a critical leadership role responsible for leading the data management, analytics, and reporting functions within the Chief Controls Office. This role will oversee the development and execution of data strategies that support control and risk management objectives, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring advanced analytical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. This individual will also be involved with strategic and transformational initiatives and the delivery of critical, large-scale, complex, high-visibility, regulatory remediation programs.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy: Develop and lead the overall strategy for data, analytics and reporting related to the Chief Controls Office.
Data Strategy & Management: Develop and implement the overall data strategy for the Chief Controls Office, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Oversee data collection, storage, and quality assurance processes.
Analytics & Insights: Lead advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks. Provide insights to inform business decisions, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement.
Reporting: Develop and manage comprehensive reporting processes that provide clear and actionable information to stakeholders, including senior management, regulatory bodies and board-level committees. Ensure reporting frameworks meet regulatory and internal audit standards.
Technology & Tools: Identify and implement data analytics tools and technologies that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of data analysis and reporting. Stay current with emerging trends and tools in data management and analytics.
Collaboration & Partnership: Partner with all lines of defense to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure data-driven decision-making.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure data governance policies are adhered to and that data analytics and reporting processes comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance data management and reporting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and usability.
Training & Awareness: Provide training and support to team members and other stakeholders to enhance data literacy and analytical skills across the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex data findings in a clear and effective manner to various stakeholders, including senior management. Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding Chief Controls Office Data, Analytics and Reporting matters.
Policy & Procedure Development: Contribute to the development and update of policies and procedures related to data, analytics and reporting.
Audit & Regulatory Coordination: Support internal audits and regulatory reviews related to data, analytics and reporting. Ensure that documentation and evidence are prepared and available for audit and examination purposes.
Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and banking standards, partnering closely with Compliance, Internal Audit, and other control functions.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Risk Management, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in the data and analytics space preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 12 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or related roles within the banking or financial services industry.
Substantial experience in risk management, operational risk, or internal audit preferred.
Knowledge:
Expertise in data analytics tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with banking industry regulations and risk management frameworks, and industry best practices.
Strong understanding of data governance and best practices for data quality management.
Knowledge of OCC Heightened Standards and Regulatory Category IV banking requirements preferred.

The estimated salary range for this position is $170,000 to $185,000. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
