SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Mental Health Program Manager (MHPM), the Assistant Staff Analyst (ASA) will function as a Program Manager (PM) to manage and support the implementation and overall grant deliverables of a psychosocial Mental Health (MH) and Substance Use Disorders (SUD) program that services for high-risk perinatal and post-partum patients through face-to-face and telehealth modalities.
The Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) Women’s Health Programs and Innovation (WHPI) Perinatal Resources to Optimize Mental Health Interventions and Substance Use Treatment Excellence (PROMISE) mental health component works to integrate a range of services needed to comprehensively address perinatal MH and SUD screening, assessment, and service delivery needs. This is a lead position to work closely within the conglomerate of WHPI grant initiative programs, in a lead managerial role working with DHS OB/GYN medical centers and outpatient clinics, with non-County providers, such as Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and non-DHS hospitals, among other stakeholders.
The incumbent will work in the program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation activities including but not limited to 1) administration of program services, and program data, 2) collaboration within WHPI, county and non-county stakeholders, and 3) compliance monitoring and quality improvement activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A master’s degree in Public Health or related field in health and/or social sciences and public or healthcare administration from an accredited university or program. At time of filing, applicant must attach a valid legible photocopy of degree diploma and/or transcripts. Applications received without educational evidence of the required master’s degree will be disqualified.

WORK SCHEDULE
Regular work schedule is Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Telework available as approved.
