Position Summary:





In order to support the rapid growth and scale of Dexcom, we are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Program Manager Business Process Improvement. As a successful Business Process Improvement Manager within business enterprises, the candidate will help lead problem solving programs and initiatives, train others on problem solving, and provide expertise and capabilities that enhance the organization. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a consistent record of sophisticated problem solving, high-impact business Lean and Six Sigma initiatives with strong organizational leadership and influencing skills across many different business functions.



Operating within the strategic BPI organization, you will effectively lead multiple Black/Green belt / Lean Practitioner level projects helping to deliver significant process improvements in key strategic areas across the business. In addition, you will be conducting LSS certification training and mentor others on their continuous improvement projects. Projects could be anywhere in the business where problem solving skills and expertise are required such as Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain and even cross functional.

Where you'll come in:




  • Run and lead Black belt level initiatives to ensure considerable process improvements, solutioning, and evaluation of realized benefits to achieve operational excellence targets for the business.

  • Conduct education and training on problem solving for certifications, projects and mentoring.

  • Coach and mentor active problem-solving project leaders.

  • Handle and implement tools and templates for the detailed execution of projects that would impact processes across all sites based on standard implementation approach/methodology.

  • Ensure adherence to global framework, standard processes, governance and catalog of services.

  • Ensure that business impacts and timelines of projects are properly managed and communicated with the concerned partners.

  • Develop reports, analytics, and assessment tools to evaluate performance and possible new improvement opportunities.

  • Other Duties as Assigned





What makes you successful:




  • Minimum 8-12 years of related and direct experience in business process improvement (Lean Six Sigma) area.

  • Worked within a Business Process Improvement structure

  • Demonstrated Black belt level problem solving skills, with proven track record of leading complex, broad problem-solving initiatives combined with the ability to implement tactical solutions to completion.

  • Strong understanding and appreciation of business process and difficulties in business areas. (preferably in Healthcare or Med device environment)

  • In-depth knowledge and experience leading cross-functional teams, with collaborators at all levels of the organization. Strong partnering skills

  • Broad business and technical foresight and proven experience working effectively in a matrix organization and ability to collaborate effectively across geographies

  • Integrated process, people, quality and commitment-centric approach to getting work done - strong customer service orientation

  • Good written and oral communication skills including capacity to comfortably talk to senior leaders

  • Exceptional skills in assessing, summarizing and communicating business or operational priorities and decision-points for effective, timely and efficient management/executive decision-making.





Preferred Qualifications:




  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or higher. SAFe, Agile/Scrum, PMP, CPM, Prince II or comparable certifications a plus.

  • Life science or medical device industry experience preferred.





Experience and Education Requirements:





  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.




  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience
