Performs visual inspections (part relationship to operation sheet/blueprint configuration) on all parts produced and performs actual dimensional verification using measuring instruments as per the guidelines established by the department or the Quality Assurance Department.
Replaces all worn or damaged tooling as necessary.
Verifies and records actual part count, both prior to and upon completion of all work.
Tumbling includes media selection and process development to ensure Quality product.
Responsible for blending corner radius and surfaces.
Use of microscopes for deburring operations.
Hand deburring of small parts, use of pencil grinders, bench grinders, drill presses and Carbide deburring tooling.
Keeps the equipment and work area clean and organized.
Notifies leadperson or supervisor of any parts shortages or machining problems/difficulties.
Packs and washes/preserves parts as needed.
Performs other machining and assembly operations as needed.
Performs other related duties as required.
Interacts with associates from all departments.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to understand operation sheets/blueprints, specifications, and all applicable company/customer paperwork.
Quality minded with the willingness and ability to cross train in other areas to provide support for cells.
One year plus experience in a machine shop or deburring environment
