Job Description:

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is looking for a Community Based Therapist to provide clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment services to assigned outpatient populations to insure the delivery of excellent patient care.

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus, half paid at 90 days, half paid at 180. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Conduct assessment and treatment services according to Southwestern policies.

  • Perform diagnostic assessment evaluations and emergency/crisis intervention for adult populations. 

  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy to adults who have a severe and persistent mental illness or are dually diagnosed.

  • Maintain appropriate records of services to reflect progress and document treatment plans and goals.

  • Maintain documentation and submit reports according to established time frames.

  • Communicate professionally, make referrals and coordinate services with community agencies.

  • Meet efficiency standards which include chart management and client contact standards.

  • Possess the ability to engage individuals who are in the early stages of their recovery.

  • Demonstrate the ability to engage with individuals involved in the legal system by participating in assessments at the Vanderburgh County Corrections Facility.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:


  • Conduct consultation and education activities to community and professional groups as needed.

  • Maintain contact with other service providers, community agencies, schools, and civic organizations to enhance community awareness and public relations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  1. Applicants must have a Master's degree in Social Work, LSW, or LCSW. Candidates must pass the LSW exam within 3 months of hire and the LCSW within six months of eligibility.

WORKING ENVRONMENT:

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Working conditions may include exposure to adverse weather conditions and unfavorable health and safety conditions such as pets, rodents, insects, unclean environments, foul smells, animal waste, drug paraphernalia, and hostile and/or threatening individuals.
