Sales-Retail Operations (Product) Intern

Subaru of America, Inc.'s Internship Program provides a valuable opportunity for students to gain real-world experience related to their major. Course of Study

Pursing a Bachelor's Degree or MBA with major in Business Management, Business Analytics, Communications, Marketing, Sales, Management Information Systems, Adult Education, Automotive Technology Management, or Industrial Design

Term

• 1 year in length (37.5 hours per week during the summer; ~18-25 hours per week during school year)
• Internship to begin in May and end the following May
• Passion for cars preferred!
• Must possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
  
  
  • Ability to drive Manual Transmission a plus
  
  
• Location - Subaru Headquarters in Camden, NJ
• $20 an hour (undergrad)

Qualifications

• Current Juniors, Seniors planning to pursue a Master's Degree, OR students currently enrolled in a Master's Program
• Must be an active student for the entire length of internship
• Previous internship or work experience preferred

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Must be able to handle multiple projects and competing deadlines
• Experience in photography, video, or podcast productions a plus
• Passion and basic knowledge or capacity to learn about automobiles
• Analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Special ad-hoc assignments requiring creativity and heavy analytical skills, especially Excel and Power Point expertise
• Assist in the research, preparation, production, and delivery of sales and product training scripts, presentations, and manuals
• Assist in analyzing performance of various training programs
• Assist at training events throughout the year
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and meetings (i.e., Retail Derive Programs, National Business Conference, National Training Conference, and others)

Summary

Subaru of America's Retail Operations Training Department is a fast-paced and exciting environment that provides an opportunity to experience business operations on a national level. This position is responsible for assisting the Retail Operations Training Team, explore and create training content and reporting that impacts retailer personnel as well as Subaru customers. This position provides visibility throughout all areas and levels of the organization. Research and deliverables must be accurate and consistent. The ideal candidate would be able to understand the big picture without losing attention to detail. Creative thinking, content production, and basic automotive skills are a plus.
