The Department of Management provides quality management education leading to baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees. The department also conducts high-level basic and applied research, engages in instructional development and provides professional expertise and service to the department's constituent communities. We have four main academic programs in human resources, entrepreneurship, management, and sport entertainment management. In addition to being home to 20 tenure system faculty in organizational behavior, human resources, entrepreneurship, strategy, and sport entertainment management our department has 18 professional faculty (lecturers and clinical faculty).
UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.
Position Overview
The Department of Management within the G. Brint Ryan College of Business (RCoB) at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites energetic and visionary applicants for the position of Department Chair.
The chair is responsible for the implementation of university, college, and department policies and the development, coordination, and administration of all academic programs and activities within the department.
In addition to teaching, scholarship, and professional service, the chair is responsible for departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and supervision of faculty, other instructional personnel in the department, and a full-time staff of two.

Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate in management from an AACSB-accredited institution.
A record of quality research, effective teaching, and impactful service appropriate for appointment as Department Chair.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated effective administrative experience needed to manage an academic department housing multiple academic disciplines and degree programs.
Evidence of effective leadership.
Ability to maintain collegial working relationships with other college administrators and within the department.
Familiarity with academic budgeting and funding processes.
Experience with the AACSB accreditation process.
Experience working with external constituencies, including alumni and donors.
