RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Video Conferencing Technician in Austin, TX.

Summary:
This role is for an electrical technician that is part of a videoconferencing hardware engineering team. This individual will be responsible for a variety of work within the hardware engineering lab under the direction and guidance of electrical engineers and in conjunction with mechanical and software, and other engineers. This includes, but is not limited to, board-level testing, debug of electronics, minor electronic board rework (soldering), configuration of software and system hardware parameters, and testing of videoconferencing systems. Support for compliance testing at an external, local 3rd party lab is also an important aspect of this role. This team is a development team, so candidates with experience in prototyping work or functioning in an R&D environment are highly preferred. The nature of the work requires this individual to work on assignments that are complex in nature and requires considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions.




REQUIREMENTS:



  • Typically, an Associate's degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years of electronics experience in a prototyping (preferred), test, or production environment; May include highly experienced individuals performing higher level or equivalent work who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field

  • Advanced knowledge in the field of electronics technology

  • The candidate should be able to complete work with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established procedures






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
