Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Plant Manager to be responsible for leading and managing all safety efforts at the plant as well as planning, quality control, customer services and maintenance functions. Additional objectives include asset protection, financials, budgeting, cost control, environmental, personnel and community relations. This position will lead the management team and hourly employees for our Cedarville and Xenia locations.
This position will travel between sites.
Essential Functions
Lead safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culture.
Responsible for leading the safety, health, environmental programs, guidelines and policies.
Lead and develop salary and hourly workforce to create teamwork and drive a safe and productive environment.
Ensure compliance with company, local, state and federal rules and regulations.
Leads operations to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics.
Responsible for the planning and scheduling of plant activities to include scheduling, production and training activities.
Complete daily production, safety and maintenance reports accurately.
Responsible for maintaining quality of all products.
Maintain housekeeping and appearance standards as established.
Assist with equipment repairs and housekeeping as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

This position will be accountable for two crews and up to 20 employees.
Work Environment
This job operates frequently in a maintenance and operations environment in an underground and surface mine location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, and copier.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
A Bachelor's Degree in management or engineering preferred
Five or more years of supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Solid understanding of aggregate processing and equipment
Experience with pit design, drilling, blasting, inventory control, inventory measures and customer service preferred
Efficient time management skills: ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; strong planning skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and capable of developing and maintaining good relationships with company and regulatory agency personnel
Strong leadership skills; possess the ability to lead, manage, and motivate; have a proven track record for creating employee ownership of safety, production, and quality
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge and understanding of MSHA regulations and possess a strong personal commitment to safety
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook; AutoCAD experience a plus
5 years' aggregates industry experience including prior production management experience at a comparable size operation preferred
