Alumni Affairs and Development (AA&D)
Alumni Affairs and Development is a dedicated team supporting Harvard's advancement activity through front-line fundraising, alumni and volunteer engagement, technology, prospect management and research, business process, events, communications, and many other areas.

AA&D is comprised of the University Development Office (UDO), Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) Development, AA&D Resources, the Harvard Alumni Association (HAA), and the Office of the Vice President (OVP).
This Processor Trust Administration position has primary responsibility for the processing and recording of all outright securities gifts for the University. Direct communication with donors, alumni and brokers via email and telephone is a large part of the responsibilities. The role will also be responsible for the trust administration paper mail intake, processing, and filing.
This is a time-limited role that will end one year from the start date.
Position Description
Records expected gifts into Workfront from email and phone inquiries
Provides DTC instructions to donors and brokers in response to Security Gifts phone and email inquiries
Assists with valuing security gifts
Maintains and updates information and documents in AA&D gift, customer relations management, and document management systems
Helps to process mail received for trust administration; coordinates checks received for processing and deposit
Provides administrative support as needed
Must adhere to periods of paid time off restriction at fiscal year and calendar year ends
May be required to work during some designated University holidays

Basic Qualifications
High School graduate.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working with databases. Willingness and ability to learn new systems as necessary.
Discretion and past experience working with confidential data.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
College background preferred.
Must be focused, motivated to learn and flexible to change. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and must take the initiative to always maintain a strong work ethic
Demonstrated ability to identify, research and find resolutions to complex gift challenges
Proven customer service skills with ability to interact tactfully and professionally with people from all types of backgrounds.
Ability to handle shifting priorities and work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Sound judgment, analytical skills, and decision-making capability required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Additional Information
This position requires a 3 month orientation and review period.
