Responsibilities

What you'll be challenged to do:

Assuring that all project documents are submitted by the contractor, and that they meet the requirements of the Design-Build contract. Reviewing all inspection and test reports, and other associated paperwork submitted by the inspection team for completeness and accuracy. Uploading documents into ProjectWise on a daily basis. Those documents shall be complete and thorough prior to uploading. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager.

 

General Duties & Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.


  • Upload contractor submittals and other associated project paperwork into ProjectWise

  • Review all staff’s inspection and test reports, and other associated paperwork for completeness and accuracy, and send back to appropriate staff for corrections as necessary.

  • Process material certifications

  • Maintain project tracking logs for construction submittals, material certifications, samples and tests, and change requests, etc.

  • Attend weekly/bi-weekly project progress meetings and provide status updates for contract submittals to the construction team and/or Department. Also, will be responsible for generating the project progress meeting minutes.

Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:


  • High school graduate or equivalent and 12-15 years of CE&I experience, as well as detailed and documented experience with contract management or,

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university with 4-6 years of CE&I experience.

What we’d prefer for you to bring to our firm:


  • EIT/P.E. registration

  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office, and Bentley Projectwise

  • SCDOT certifications (Asphalt, Earthwork, Foundations, Level 1&2 concrete)

  • SCDHEC Erosion Control

  • ACI Field-Grade I

  • Work Zone Traffic Control

  • AASHTOWare Project experience

Work Environment:


  • The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, construction and field assignments can be severe (i.e. Airport noise, inside factories, construction equipment, jack hammers, etc).

  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk or hear, and drive a car. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
