Summary: The Preventative Maintenance Tech is responsible for changing oil, greasing and preventive maintenance and washing/cleaning of vehicles and equipment. Will perform work and operate equipment in a safe manner and adhere to all safety and environmental rules.
Primary duties:
Making sure moving parts are lubricated if needed.
Injecting grease into units, such as springs, universal joints and steering knuckles, using hand-or compressed air-powered grease gun.
Inspecting fluid level of steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions differentials, rear axle housings and shackles.
Checking air pressure of tires, adding water to the radiator, testing the battery, replacing oil and air filters, and spraying springs with lubricant.
Draining oil and refilling crankcase with right amount of new lubricant.
Update maintenance records daily
General clean-up of equipment
Ensure all tools are stored properly at the end of each shift.
Responsible for notifying department lead of any potential safety or equipment issues immediately.
Responsible for following processes and procedures correctly.
Responsible for wearing appropriate clothing, shoes, and personnel protective equipment.

Lifting and carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 100lbs (+-50%) of the time
Standing/walking/climbing (+-50%)of the time

Frequent reaching/handling/feeling (+-70%) of the time
Frequent use of finger dexterity (+70%) of the time.
Working Conditions:
Noise level is moderate to high.
Work environment is not always environmentally controlled, exposed to extreme heat and cold.
Education:
Ideal candidate should have high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Ideal candidate should have minimum of (2) years' work experience as Greaseman /Lubeman for all types of equipment. Must have a safe driving record within Company MVR policy guidelines.

The posted salary or pay compensation ranges are approximate and dependent on applicable experience and qualifications. Upper ranges are flexible.
