Description:


The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of minimally invasive surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidate must be board certified by the American Board of Ob/Gyn and proficient in minimally invasive surgical techniques. Successful completion of fellowship in minimally invasive surgery is required.


Teaching responsibilities may include clinical training and supervision of medical students and residents and participation in formal teaching curriculum. A commitment to resident and medical student education is required.


Clinical responsibilities may include care of the obstetrics and gynecology patient with a focus minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.


Candidate would join a group of full-time obstetricians and gynecologists, advanced practice nurses and midwives in a faculty practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Penn Health for Women at Radnor. Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills are required.
