Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - faculty positions within the university that are not tenure track and not eligible for tenure; on a fixed term contract.   Persons with the title of professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical, assistant professor-clinical and instructor-clinical. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty department and, as appropriate, regional campus; Clinical faculty are teacher/practitioners and will be engaged primarily in teaching activities.  These faculty normally have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field or equivalent experience.

The College of Optometry at The Ohio State University invites applications for a clinical track faculty appointment. We are seeking a candidate who will be an enthusiastic team member of our faculty, committed to training future clinicians, and serving as a role model for the profession at the College, State, and National level. Applicants at all career levels are encouraged to apply. Depending on qualifications, an appointment will be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. We are conducting a broad search rather than emphasizing any particular clinical area of expertise. Clinical interests may be in any of the following areas: contact lenses, binocular vision, pediatrics, vision rehabilitation, primary care, outreach, or diagnoses and treatment of ocular disease. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the College through teaching and service, as well as engage in scholarly activity related to their clinical and academic focus.

Qualifications - OD (or equivalent) degree, eligibility for Ohio Optometric licensure, and have completed an accredited residency program or have equivalent experience.
