Preferred:

The Fine Arts & Communication Department seeks a qualified, part-time instructor to teach Basic Video Production and possibly Video Editing. Candidates must be familiar with fiction and documentary production as well as digital video, sound production, and set lighting. Proficiency with Final Cut Pro essential. Proficiency with ProTools, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro preferred.

Position is Security Sensitive.


Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times.


Salary Detail:Masters Degree under 20 students $850/credit or $2,550 per 3 SCHMasters Degree over 20 students $500 extraPh.D. under 20 students $900/credit or $2,700 per 3 SCHPh.D. over 20 students $500 extraSummer Faculty $4,200 per 3 SCH, max 6 SCH per session, prorated for fewer than 10 students
Summer courses above the max 6 SCH are paid at the overload rate of $2,130


Other Information:

Texas Law requires a 60 day waiting period before new state employees are eligible to enroll in health insurance.

About SRSU:

The Department of Biology, Geology, and Physical Sciences offers BS and MS degrees in biology, chemistry, and geology. The graduate programs in Biology and Geology enrolls approximately thirty students each, primarily thesis seeking.
