Description:

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for a Full Professor position in the tenure track. Expertise in the specific area of diffusion magnetic resonance imaging is required. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree. Teaching responsibilities may include didactic teaching to graduate students, medical students, residents and fellows as well as mentoring trainees in the lab. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include establishing an independent research program in structural, microstructural and perfusion MRI relevant to brain imaging. This will encompass both clinical and preclinical settings. The candidate is expected to be an authority on diffusion MRI in brain development. A track record of extramural funding and high-impact publications is a prerequisite.

 


Responsibilities include experience in bioengineering, physics, neuroscience or related field. Ample opportunity and encouragement will be given for synergistic collaboration with CHOP's world class programs in functional imaging of brain activity using magnetoencephalography as well as neurochemical assessment of neurotransmitters using spectrally-edited magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
