Position Summary/Description:
This role is for a data science student, working with the user engagement team on various projects relating to BioData Catalyst. This will include but not be limited to:
- Content Development
- Research
- Collaborative Learning Events
- Metrics and Reporting
This position is for an early career scientist who understands that science is created by communities of people. This scientist will want to develop their people skills while honing their data science skills in the growing area of biostatistics.
This position is ideal for someone who can work independently, is a self-starter, is organized and detail oriented. Someone who loves people, the work they do, and meeting scientific challenges.
This position will work with experienced User Engagement Specialists developing content, collaborations and experiences for medical researchers in the effort to support them on their journey to deliver better health outcomes to patients.
The team is specifically seeking an early career data scientist who is a good writer and project manager to further develop and hone communication and relationship building skills, rather than an experienced communicator who doesn't know about data science.
This role will be expected to review and edit documents, collate information, conduct research, liaise with medical researchers and be able to synthesize large amounts of information quickly. A fast paced and digital environment, this person has to be quick to learn and implement different kinds of digital applications, along with having an appreciation for the human side of the user experience.
