The Department of Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Clinical Business Operations Representative to work on the UHealth Campus. The Clinical Business Operations Representative facilitates communication among a research team and research participants as well as facilitates accurate data entry for research purposes. The incumbent in this position performs general administrative and receptionist functions, to include answering incoming calls, efficient management of patients, and the acquisition of necessary patient-care and records. This role will also assist patients in a courteous, efficient and professional manner and ensure adherence to divisional and departmental service standards.
Use electronic medical system (EPIC) in utilizing to verify patients' appointments, enter lab results, medical records, referrals and medical notes for fibro scans.
Provide clinical support to clinical faculty in daily activities related to 2 faculty members and 2 advanced registered nurse practitioners.
Answers telephone calls, greets callers, handles inquires, takes and delivers messages, answers custom questions and transfers calls to correct personnel according to their needs.
Verify patient demographics and edit information as necessary to assure accuracy and completeness.
Verifies insurance information and informs patient of any inaccuracy. Directs patient to financial assessment if needed.
Follows patient appointment guidelines pertaining to overbooking per approval.
Cancel and reschedule appointments based on patient and/or doctors' request. Adjust clinics for doctors on vacations or days off.
Make sure all outside medical records are attached to clinic census on day of the appointment.
Prepare doctors clinic census at least 7 business days in advance for assigned physicians.
Obtains consent for Medical Records Information upon other facilities request for medical records.
Fibro scan results are scanned and emailed to all corresponding physicians

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience not required
Skill in data entry with minimal errors.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing data.
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
