We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Product Manager to take ownership of an existing product that requires significant development to become a market-ready, sellable solution. You will be responsible for refining the product strategy, improving functionality, and ensuring the product meets both regulatory and customer requirements for the industry. With a proven understanding of the clinical pipeline process, you will guide the product's evolution, ensuring it addresses critical needs and becomes a key player in the market.



As a Sr. Product Director you will...



  • Provide strategic product leadership by translating high-level business strategy into product strategy, ensuring that the product addresses key business goals and delivers measurable business value.


  • Enable customer and collaborator management by serving as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams, ensuring visibility, collaboration, and effective communication with all partners, including executives, customers, and internal teams.


  • Define and maintain a compelling product vision and roadmap that aligns with business goals, market opportunities, and customer needs. Develop a transparent prioritization model to align resources and attention to the right initiatives in the right order.


  • Define, track, and optimize product success metrics (e.g., usage, adoption, and revenue impact). Use data and analytics to drive product decisions, continuously improving product performance.


  • Lead discovery efforts to uncover customer challenges, opportunities, and areas for innovation. Use insights to develop product hypotheses, run experiments, and refine product features with a data-driven approach.


  • Conduct regular analysis of market trends, competitors, and new technologies to ensure the product remains competitive and meets the evolving needs of customers.


  • Foster strong collaboration with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure flawless product execution and go-to-market readiness.


  • Write clear, detailed product requirements, applying user stories and epics to ensure that all teams have a shared understanding of what's being built and why.


  • Plan and execute product launches, including marketing strategies, customer communication, and internal enablement.


  • Evaluate post-launch performance to ensure success.


  • Create a collaborative and inclusive team environment, providing mentorship, guidance, and direction to team members.





Essential:



  • 5+ years of experience including strong background working in and knowledge of the pharmaceutical clinical development pipeline.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent


  • Proven track record of delivering successful products in an enterprise or SaaS setting.


  • Strong data-driven, critical thinking and problem-solving skills


  • Experience translating business priorities into actionable product plans.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that you can use to influence and present to senior stakeholders and executives.


  • High level of technical acuity; ability to engage with engineering teams on detailed technical discussions.


  • Experience in hypothesis-driven development and testing, using quantitative analysis to validate product features.


  • Ability to write product requirements in the form of user stories and epics.


  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and frameworks.





Desirable:



  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with deep knowledge of regulatory environments and industry-specific challenges.


  • Strong executive presence, with experience presenting to C-suite and senior leadership.


  • Background in UX/UI design, with a keen understanding of user-centric design principles.


  • Some experience with coding or ability to communicate effectively with development teams.


  • Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed market research and competitive analysis.

In-person working gives us the platform we need to connect, work at pace and challenge perceptions. That's why we work, on average, a minimum of three days per week from the office. This role is aligned to our Gaithersburg MD location. Remote or travel constructs are not available.


The annual base pay for this position ranges from $185,685 to $278,527. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
