At Mass General Brigham Medical Group, we are seeking an ambitious and dedicated Ultrasound Tech to join our healthcare team in Northampton, MA. Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality imaging services, projecting excellence in customer service behavior and patient care.
Perform scans in various areas including the abdomen, pelvis, head, high resolution (small parts), and vascular regions.
Recognize and record desired information patterns photographically to ensure accurate diagnosis of both normal and abnormal structures.
Conduct Doppler studies, trans-vaginal studies, obstetric studies, and assist with cyst puncture or biopsy procedures.
Participate in the review and interpretation of daily scans with the Radiologist.
Maintain high-quality imaging standards by reviewing digital images as required.
Ensure proficiency and train others in the use of the Radiology Information System and PACS.
Assist in scheduling add-on or emergent patients to ensure smooth workflow.
Interview patients to obtain pertinent information for the examination being performed.
Coordinate and collaborate with other imaging modalities to provide efficient care for patients undergoing multiple modality exams.
Create and sustain a team environment, communicating effectively and working collaboratively.
Assist the Radiologist during interventional imaging procedures, ensuring compliance with JCAHO and departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Report any non-compliance issues to the Team Leader immediately.
Perform quality control studies and gather quality improvement data as required.
Stay current with new positions, procedures, policies, and techniques as established by the licensing board and Cooley Dickinson Health Care.
Work flexible hours based on departmental needs and be available for on-call duties as required.
Support student training and contribute to student evaluations.
Maintain hospital and departmental policies, objectives, confidentiality, quality improvement programs, compliance, safety, infection control, and environmental standards.
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Benefits eligible!

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in radiology or equivalent certification required
Candidates must meet registry requirements and be certified as an RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) within twelve (12) months of hire or the position will be forfeited
Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
One (1) to three (3) years experience as an Ultrasound Technician preferred
