Transports patients, including any oxygen, I-meds or other special equipment required by the patient, safely throughout the hospital.
Assists in moving patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers or beds.
Signs patients in and out of nursing units and departments before and after patient transport.
Transports deceased patients to the morgue or other areas as instructed.
Confirms patient identification by verbal confrontations and ID band.
Greets patients, introduces self and explains to the patient the nature of the transport.
Delivers and picks up various items from Nursing Units, Laboratory, Service Departments, Pharmacy, etc. and delivers to appropriate departments, i.e. medical records, forms, requisitions, films, specimens, Mail.
Performs other related duties as required.
Must be able to rotate shifts and work holidays when necessary.

Qualifications
Requires organizational skills with concentration to detail. Good visual, verbal and listening skills. Must be able to deal with diverse levels of people of all ages. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
