Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems on large-scale construction projects, particularly in the K-12 sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either subcontractor or general contractor roles, with proven project experience exceeding $100 million.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage MEP construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate MEP installations and resolve any issues that arise.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Review and approve MEP shop drawings, submittals, and change orders.
Provide technical guidance and support to field personnel and subcontractors.
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and regulatory agencies.
Prepare and present progress reports to management and clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP construction management, with at least 3 years in a superintendent role.
Experience with projects over $100 million, preferably in the K-12 education sector (ideal but not required).
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction processes, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in construction management software and tools.
