Program Manager
The Shermco team offers the opportunity to develop and utilize a broad skill set in commercial, industrial and utility electrical service industry. Shermco is an ideal fit for smart, motivated individual with a desire to continuously learn and solve complex problems across multiple applications. We work closely with our customers to provide unique engineering solutions not offered by traditional consulting or field-service firms. Project Managers on the Shermco engineering team must be confident, self-motivated individuals who can clearly and consistently communicate with both internal and external team members and customers. Strong analytical and organizational skills are a must. Prior experience in the electrical industry is not required but is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in an efficient and cost-effective manner;
Plan, coordinate and/or supervise daily activities of project team while onsite and ensure safety, productivity, client satisfaction, client relations and test results all meet exceptional standards of quality;
Develop project plans including the scheduling of staff, equipment and additional resources;
Organize project teams into work groups and guide project teams throughout their efforts to produce deliverable according to client specifications and Shermco quality standards
Negotiate with other departments to obtain required skill sets;
Develop budgets for all assigned projects and ensure budgets are adhered to and profitability targets are met;
Develop cost control strategies without compromising the quality of deliverable;
Provide leadership and guidance on technical issues to other technical staff;
Ensure all staff always adhere to Shermco safe work practices;
Ensure all contractual issues are resolved and dealt with in a timely manner and act as liaison with Shermco clients and other contractors;
Work with administrative staff to ensure paper flow and invoicing information is effectively handled to allow prompt and accurate billing;
Work with Human Resources to address project recruitment requirements;
Follow-up with management on a regular basis to communicate the status of assigned projects;
Ensure projects are wrapped up effectively leaving no "loose ends" or unfinished work;
Evaluate completed projects to identify what worked well and what could be improved on the next project and communicate lessons learned;
Provide or coordinate technical services to Shermco clients;
Will be responsible to become familiar with, abide by, and to administer the Shermco Health, Personnel and Safety policies;
Will adhere to Shermco's Alcohol and Drug Policy as defined; and
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Project Management;
Or PMP, CPM, CPMP or other equivalent project management certification;
Or Red Seal Journeyman/Master Electrician;
Or relevant work experience in a similar or related field.
NETA certification is a plus
Commercial or industrial electrical experience is a plus
A valid driver's license is required as some travel is necessary, and fieldwork will be a requirement of this position

Must be willing to travel; minimum 25%
