Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota





Job Description:

This role is a part of Data Engineering team for a large-scale program. You would be responsible for the analysis, design, development, and support of complex analytic tools such as dashboards and data visualizations that would support the program.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Designs, prototypes, and develops complex data analytics and visualizations
• Review data set, analyze the data, run statistical data mining to derive insights
• Partner with PO/BA team to understand the business needs, help PO become data driven to understand what insights can be derived from the data.
• Provides technical support during all phases of the application lifecycle
• Incorporates security and other relevant bank and system controls into solutions and team practices
• Contributes and adheres to bank and system software development methodologies and standards
• Ensure team complies with all security, compliance, and audit requirements
• Ensures technical documentation is produced and kept updated
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested

Education
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of related work experience.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience/training/certification required

Experience, Knowledge and Skills -

• Experience with cloud database services/tools and technologies such as Redshift or Aurora.
• Expert knowledge of SQL, Python
• Experience with data profiling, data quality reporting, and data cleansing
• Strong experience in Machine Learning with computer science/mathematics/statistics background.
• Proficient in report development and modern BI and reporting tools (Tableau, PowerBI, AWS QuickSight). Experience working with and creating visualizations/dashboards
• Experience querying and developing reporting from data warehouses and familiar with data warehouse concepts.
• Understanding of data design and normalization as they apply to more complex problems
• Understanding of structure vs. unstructured data storage (i.e. use cases for NoSQL, data lakes, etc.) to determine when to apply to a business problem
• Experienced and understanding of best practices in the key areas of data management, including data governance, security, quality, and its application in projects
• Knowledgeable in data security management and data integrity practices
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and working in Agile teams
