Description: Our client is currently seeking a Circuit Design Engineer Join a leading global aerospace and defense company as a Circuit Design Engineer to support the development of next-generation radar systems. This role involves designing and optimizing advanced Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) and contributing to mission-critical projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Develop Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for cutting-edge radar systems.
Design and analyze mixed-signal circuits (digital, analog, and power).
Perform design trade studies to optimize cost, weight, packaging, and power usage.
Capture and derive detailed design and test requirements for CCAs.
Integrate and test CCAs using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, and data acquisition devices.
Create schematics and layouts using Mentor Graphics/Siemens Xpedition and perform circuit simulations with Cadence PSpice or LTSpice.
Conduct signal and power integrity analysis with Mentor Graphics Siemens HyperLynx.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate CCAs into larger radar systems.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
Active Secret Clearance required at the time of application.
6+ years in mixed-signal circuit card design (digital, analog, and power).
4-6 years working with AMD Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC/RFSoC solutions.
Proficiency in Cadence PSpice, LTSpice, and Mentor Graphics/Siemens Xpedition.
Ability to take ownership of CCA design from concept to validation testing.
Demonstrated experience capturing, deriving, and managing design requirements.
Experience in performing design trade studies to meet project goals.
Expertise in signal and power integrity analysis.
Familiarity with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and electronic loads.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with circuit failure mode analysis and optimization processes.
Must be local to Grand Prairie, TX, or willing to relocate (on-site at least 50% weekly).
