Description: Our client is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team!
Scope of Role:
Location: Desoto, TX
Hours: 8am to 5pm M-F
Job Engagement: Contract
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy and other patient care procedures
- Maintain established quality control standards
- Record and process patient care documentation quickly and accurately
- Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies
- Organize, stock and clean exam and treatment rooms
- Assist with Quality, ensuring patients are getting their preventative screening exams.
Qualifications & Requirements: - High school graduate or GED Required
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Current CPR and / or BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
- Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 180 days of employment
- EMR experience
