Description: Our client is currently seeking a Cyber Security Architect
We are partnering with a leading healthcare organization to find an experienced Cyber Security Architect. This fully remote contract position focuses on designing and implementing secure solutions for cloud-based Databricks projects, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and protecting sensitive data within a dynamic and innovative environment.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive security architectures for cloud-based Databricks projects.
Ensure robust protection mechanisms for data, applications, and infrastructure.
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Implement effective mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
Apply best practices in cloud security, including IAM, encryption, and VPC configurations on AWS or Azure platforms.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and GDPR by implementing appropriate security policies and controls.
Maintain compliance with Medicare/Medicaid data restrictions.
Provide security training and awareness programs to promote best practices.
Monitor cloud environments for security threats and anomalies.
Develop and implement incident response plans for potential security breaches.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects, to integrate security into all project aspects.
Maintain detailed documentation of security architectures, policies, and procedures.
Prepare and present security status reports to stakeholders.
Stay updated on emerging security trends and technologies.
Continuously enhance security measures and protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and/or AWS Certified Security.
10+ years as a Technical Architect, specializing in cloud security within AWS or Azure environments.
Mid to senior-level experience in the healthcare sector, with familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid data restrictions and HIPAA compliance.
Experience securing Databricks and Apache Spark platforms.
Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning capabilities in previous roles.
Ability to oversee and implement security processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Expertise in threat assessment and modeling.
Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python and Shell.
Strong understanding of Salesforce integrations within broader IT architectures.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of successful project implementations and security initiatives.
